This case study presents the new modes of urban mobility known as micro-mobility, which have become widespread in France and the rest of the world since the beginning of the 21st century.
These modes of transport take a variety of forms, including bicycles, scooters and mopeds, whether electrically assisted or not. One of the key features of these micro mobility vehicles is that they are most often shared, rather than owned outright. The uses, operating modes and potential problems posed by these new modes of mobility are presented and analyzed.
