Résumé

Getlink SE, formerly known as Groupe Eurotunnel, is a Franco-British company that operates and manages the Channel Tunnel--a key piece of infrastructure linking France and the United Kingdom by rail. Listed on Euronext Paris, it is one of Europe's leading cross-border transport companies.
In a volatile environment marked by economic, political, and environmental challenges--including Brexit, the energy transition, and rising competition--Getlink must adapt its strategy to remain competitive and ensure sustainable growth.
The Group has engaged a team of consultants to develop a strategic plan for 2030. The objective is to assess its current strategic positioning, identify new growth opportunities, and propose recommendations to enhance both its economic performance and its social responsibility.
This case study explores the strategic challenges faced by a cross-border transport operator, while giving students the opportunity to apply strategic analysis tools (such as SWOT and PESTEL) and to make informed recommendations suited to a complex and evolving environment.
