Objectifs pédagogiques

This case is suitable for undergraduate-, and graduate-level courses on social entrepreneurship, non-profit management, and the poverty surrounding refugees. After working through the case and assignment questions, students will be able to do the following: ·Outline the decisions, challenges, and constraints social entrepreneurs face as they seek to remain economically viable while working toward achieving their social missions. ·Identify short-term and long-term strategies for success. ·Manage an organization's mission and the expectations of beneficiaries. ·Measure social impact. ·Manage the emotional and personal involvement of an entrepreneur in a social venture. ·Identify issues facing refugees after displacement (e.g., poverty), and analyze organizations that are developed to benefit refugees. ·Recommend short-term and/or long-term strategic management options for sustaining and growing a non-profit organization.
