Objectifs pédagogiques

This case is suitable for courses on business ethics, marketing strategy, and strategic management, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The case allows students to analyze the ethical challenges facing a controversial industry and recommend an appropriate solution to deal with these challenges. After working through the case and assignment questions, students will be able to<ul><li>assess the trade-off between profitability and social responsibility;</li><li>understand the ethical or moral challenges in a controversial industry;</li><li>evaluate the benefits and costs of a company's corporate social responsibility programs; and</li><li>recommend an appropriate solution to overcome the ethical dilemma.</li></ul>
