G1994(GB)
Résumé
* RIODD 2020 Prize for the best case study in Sustainable Development or Corporate Social Responsibility

Poiscaille is a start-up that sells seafood and fishes by relying on a subscription model. Its offer differs from the competition by supplying ultra-fresh products and by making customers discover new species. It also encourages the development of sustainable fishing. Poiscaille does not supply its merchandises from auction houses as is the norm in the industry, but directly from independent fishermen. This case shows how the founder of Poiscaille has created an efficient supply chain and how he has invented sustainable fishing norms. It also offers development perspectives for the start-up, five years after its creation. In other words, by studying the start-up Poiscaille, this teaching case highlights the strategic, entrepreneurial and sustainable aspects of the fishing industry.
