Nature & Découvertes is a brand recognised for its strong values and its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and has been certified B Corp since 2015. A family business, in 2019 it had 97 shops when it was acquired by the Fnac Darty group. While the company manages to attract young recruits, who are often customers and sensitive to its committed approach, Nature & Découvertes seems to have more difficulties retaining them. Through the experience of Camille, who is 22 years old and doing an apprenticeship in digital marketing and communication, the students will be immersed in the company's ecosystem.
The students are asked to look at the motivational factors of the young generation.
The case study requires students:
- to analyse Nature & Découvertes' employer brand.
- to study the discrepancy with the young employee's perception.
- to question the issues of employee retention in companies in general, and more specifically for Nature & Découvertes.
- Understand the motivational factors of the young generation.
- Learn about the importance of consistency between the external employer brand conveyed by the company and what the employee finds internally.
- Discover the challenges of employee retention in companies and to understand the importance of employee recognition.
- Suggest concrete HR solutions to retain employees.
