Mixel Agitators is a French SME who designs, produces and sells industrial mixers. The company has an ambitious international strategy and owns a production and sales subsidiary in China. The relationships between the headquarters and the subsidiary are marked by intercultural problems that are hindering business development in China. In 2023, the French SME is acquired by the industrial group GMM Pfaudler. The case was prepared in close collaboration with Mixel Agitators. Students are asked to propose solutions for managing the intercultural problems between the French headquarters and the Chinese subsidiary and to anticipate intercultural challenges linked to the acquisition of the SME by an international group.
