On the 21st of February 2024, BYD's first car ro-ro (roll-on/roll-off) transport ship, Pioneer 1, successfully arrived at the Port of Vlissingen in the Netherlands, carrying 5,449 BYD new energy vehicles.
This marks the successful maiden voyage of BYD's "ocean fleet".

Pioneer 1 - such a symbolic ship name. BYD is set to explore the European market, but is Europe ready?
This case study will provide a systematic introduction to BYD's development journey and strategy - from nothing to something, from weakness to strength, and from the Chinese to the European market.
