This case describes a rather complicated managerial task of looking for potential market for technology push product. Ultimately, innovation is only meaningful if used for new products. One can not fully comprehend how to manage new product development without a deep understanding of innovation processes in a global context. Technology push (TP) product is a good example of such a relationship. This case provides practical illustration of how innovation management are intertwined with new product development, and can be used in the first session of a course on the topic of innovation and technology management and / or new product development. This case has been successfully used in one MBA course and one MS course. It is appropriate for graduate students interested in product innovation.
